Tupy completes 2011 with its first fully international release, showcasing fresh talent coming from Portugal. Music producer Filipe Campos, under the alias Camplaix, builds up melodies that are filled with powerful mind and voice of Nuno Just. French leave is presented in a pop version and a DJ-friendly house track.

Tupy’s next single “Europa/The Rings of Saturn” is Tenorio’s last creation within his science of breakbeats. Following his groundbreaking debut album, Science Fiction, released on Tupy in 2009, Tenorio has developed a smooth though deep and spiritual way of sequencing atmospheric harmonies that resound like apocalyptic sounds of a universe which, although mapped by mankind, is still unpredictable and wild.

Fumaça Blue has got textures and emotions imprinted on each bar of its irresistible grooves. Woven by the experienced hands of the paulistano Renato Malim under the alias Habitants, each melodic phrase contains a story, revealed as a complex pattern of memories.

Tupy proudly celebrates its third birthday with Metamorphose, Peixe Kru’s debut album. It explores groove possibilities in between music genres. House and breakbeats are the basis for a beautiful set of funk, soul and bossa nova electronic arrangements. With collaborations of Bruno Canoza and XRS Land, Metamorphose is one of a kind.

No one could ever see the future, except those, riding on the eternity of the past, giving birth to the present time, and making it substance through the means of a red sandstone.

The hearts of modern cities are located in downtown. When the night falls, such places start moving, guided by their own rhythm. Whoever goes there gets changed a little. The small piece that is displaced is invisible to the eyes of those who haven’t changed, seen as too abstract.

The floating island has moved. From broken accelerated beats to deep house. Solitude is XRS Land first EP on this new path. It is the result of a music production rerouting. The ambiences and melodies have the scent of fading away: elusive, airy, blue, and at the same time very evolving.

The young paulistana Lika Marques crossed the Atlantic and lived in the UK for a couple of years. This trajectory, up and north, then back down to the tropics, debugged her forever. Away from her homeland, she found her breakbeats coming from inside, head and heart. Back home, she sends these sounds back to where they’re from: deep in the underground.
